The search for peace

One must look hard through history to find when a clear understanding of the truth moved anyone to fire the first shot. ~Robert Brault

Since the beginning of time, Man has sought peace in Religion, in Mysticism, Spiritualism, Naturalism, Philosophy, Psychology, Technology, mental arts, Metaphysics, Science, Allied studies, Anthropology, Scientology and other myriads of fields he could think of to satiate this thirst of his. Since the beginning of time, man has remembered wars that were fought because he sought peace and each time after a war, peace was declared. Why don’t we remember those times as the ‘First World Peace’ or ‘Second World Peace’? Because peace was only declared but never did it sustain. Never in history has there been peace after a war. Peace attempts- yes but no peace. The cardinal question here is whether this ineffaceable quest, this apparent rainbow chase of man can come to an end in the present world? At times when even the first line of this blogpost has become objectionable for the use of ‘man’ to represent human beings, can we really hope for a world peaceful, tranquil and harmonious? Yes We Can. It is a firm belief of the author that the world is still capable of, if not susceptible to, peace. Where can we find it?

We are going to navigate through Religion, Mysticism, Spiritualism, we are going to navigate through Naturalism, Philosophy, we are going to navigate through Psychology, we are going to navigate through Technology, mental arts, Metaphysics, we are going to navigate through Science, we are going to navigate through politics, Allied studies, Anthropology, individual thought, we are going to navigate through Scientology and we are going to take lessons from each in our way. We are going to analyse examples, facts, tacts, history, our successes, our failures; we are going to analyse what great men have said and what they have believed in.

After delving into all these realms and taking inspiration and lesson from all of them, the conclusion is that the world will know peace with a more evolved form of humans that Friederich Nietsche famously called ‘Übermensch’. “Lo! I give you the Superman”. There must be a belief in the ability of such a race to come up with all the positives human history and everything till date has taught us and then the Search for Peace will be fulfilled. It is also a belief that such superhumans would not take generations to come up now. With the world as is today, we stand at a decisive moment in history. We can either make it or break it and the belief is that we will surely and very certainly make it. Peace will come like the joy of festivals, peace will come like the innocence of an infant and peace will come like the love of mother. There is no stopping it now.
